Welcome to my trip report on China Airlines CI-0754, flight from Singapore to Taipei. So I flew to Singapore to visit some relatives on China Airlines CI-0751. I stayed in the Marina Bay Sands and the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Singapore for five days total. On the fifth day, China Airline's free shuttle bus came to the Ritz Carlton at around 12:00pm to pick up passengers flying with China Airlines. The ride to Changi International Airport was about half an hour. Once we arrived, I headed to the business class check-in counter.

After checking in and obtaining my boarding pass and lounge invitation, I made my way to the China Airline's Lounge. However, I had a bit trouble finding "China Airline's Lounge". So here's a tip for you China Airline's Business Class Passengers flying from SIN: You will never find a lounge called "China Airline's Lounge." Apparently, China Airlines (as of 2012) shares the Skyview Lounge. Therefore, remember to go to the Skyview Lounge with your China Airlines lounge invitation. Nevertheless, the lounge is actually pretty impressive. It has a wide variety of food and multiple showering rooms. A big plus, is the view and the lounge's huge size.
When boarding call was made, I said goodbye to the wonderful lounge, and left for Gate D-42.

As usual, business class passengers were called to board first.
A picture of the engines.

People say that the engines look like "hairdryers". Funny...huh?

Below are a few business class cabin pics prior to departure:

Dinner was served shortly after Take-off:
-The appetizer was excellent. There was a lot of flavor.
-The main course(Chicken) was not tasty. Hard to chew.
-The desert was delicious! I wanted seconds....

After dinner, it was time to take a nap and watch some movies.

After about three hours since dinner, landing announcements were made.

Landing was extremely turbulent since we would be landing when there was typhoon(a tropical storm). But luckily, we made it safely to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Overall, once again, good job China Airlines.

Overall Score: +9/10

Intro:
Hey again! I know what you may be thinking at the moment...(Why is an EVA AIR enthusiast creating a trip report on China Airlines?) Well, the answer to that question is quite simple. The answer is...because, EVA AIR only flies from TPE to SIN once a day, and their flight departs at 7:40am(Which is way too early for me to go flying!). So I decided to fly with China Airlines for a change, since they have a flight departing at 4:05pm.

Trip Report:

About a week after my arrival in Taiwan, I headed back to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport for my flight to Singapore.

When boarding call was made(around 3:30pm), I grabbed my baggage and headed to gate A3 for boarding.

Boarding
There already was a long queue when I arrived. But with Sky Priority, I was able to cut in front of the economy class passengers. Sorry economy class passengers!

Below are some pictures of other planes. Doing some plane spotting from my seat.

We got our push back at 4:00pm and then taxied our way to Runway 23 for takeoff.

Dinner was served after we reached our cruising altitude. It consisted of an appetizer, an entrée, and a dessert:

Inside the Dinner Menu

Pastrami, Tuna Fish with Soy Bean

Korean Cuisine-Pan Fried Chicken Thigh

Cake with Fruits

The appetizer was okay, but not excellent. For my entrée, I chose chicken. It tasted great. There was only one choice for desert, and that was cake. The cake was not tasty for me at all. I only ate the thin layer of berry jam on top. After dinner, it was time for some shut-eye, but I couldn't resist to first take a few photos!

Below are some pictures of the view from my seat:

I went to sleep for only a few~thirty minutes. After I woke up, I watched movies. ~If you love watching movies when you're flying, I suggest flying China Airlines. They have a huge/wide variety of movies to choose from...compared to EVA AIR.~

The pre-arrival announcement was made around thirty minutes prior to our landing. You can hear it from the youtube video (China Airlines CI-0751 TPE-SIN [By: EvaAir101])
Almost there!

Landing was made at around 8:45pm. We then taxied for about fifteen minutes, before we reached our gate...which was on the other side of the airport! Overall, China Airlines actually isn't as bad as I thought. Next time, I'd fly with China Airlines again.

Overall Score: +8/10
